Has your child been diagnosed with ASD or in the process of diagnosis?
If your answer is yes, pop along to our parent/carer drop in session where Amy Whittle from the ASD Centre in Burnley will be joining our Family Liaison Officer Alison McConville and School Nurse Deborah McKenna to answer any questions you may have.
Also at this session you will have the opportunity to find out about the various services/groups offered by the ASD centre along with information on our family support, parent/carer workshops, young people groups, advice and strategies on how to handle behaviours, holiday activities and much more.
World Autism Awareness Week is an internationally recognised event encouraging people to take part in activities and raise money and awareness for the National Autistic Society.
Alex Lowery will be joining us as our guest speaker at this autism awareness workshop. Alex is a public speaker and trainer on autism. He uses his personal experience of having autism and is a wealth of information on this subject. Alex is passionate about raising awareness of autism.
All parents, carers and families are welcome to join us at this event.
In support of National Autism Awareness Week, students are encouraged to come to school/college dressed in as many different colours as possible for a donation of £1.
