Make Every Step Count!  2016 - 2018


                                     Module 1 - Improving confidence and self-esteem/ Self-belief
                                                     techniques; the power of thoughts






                               Middle School                            We made our own advertisements
                               Aged 11-16 yrs






           We approached this module using a variety of
           activities. We used the school counsellor to
           run group sessions on ‘Think Good, Feel good’
           where he discussed the power or negative
           and positive thoughts. Other groups enrolled
           in drama classes to raise confidence and thus,
           self-esteem. Many students have tried new
           activities to overcome personal fears and feel
           more confident e.g. Scaling a climbing wall,
           ballroom dancing and working with birds of
           prey. Throughout the daily curriculum all staff
           encourage our students by praising them and
           telling them that they ‘can do it’!                         Self confidence lies at the heart of
                                                                                 all inventions
