We are delighted to announce that PCHS has achieved the School Games Silver Mark Award in recognition of our commitment to providing high quality physical activity, sport and leadership opportunities for our pupils.
The School Games Mark celebrates schools that successfully promote active lifestyles and sporting experiences. This award reflects our dedication to ensuring that every pupil has the opportunity to develop their physical, social and emotional wellbeing through a wide range of inclusive activities. From structured PE lessons, active walks around the Rabbit Run, implementing sensory lifestyle and breaks, to sports clubs at lunchtime and extracurricular activities, we ensure every pupil can engage at their individual level in physical activity.
We are proud of our commitment to inclusion, supporting pupils through different stages and transitions such as our year 6/7 transition day sporting activities and developing confidence, leadership, and teamwork through a range of sporting activities. Our ‘Friendship Buddies’ play an important role in encouraging and supporting pupils to take part in physical activities.
This achievement is a testament to the enthusiasm of our pupils, the dedication of our staff and support of our families. We are incredibly proud of this recognition and look forward to building on our success as we continue our journey towards the School Games Gold Mark.
Well done to everyone who has contributed to this fantastic achievement.
