Students from the Digital Careers group visited Aldi Colne on 26 February 2026 to explore how workplace technology supports modern retail. The visit linked to key educational objectives, giving students the chance to see tools such as CCTV, barcode scanners and digital price tags in action. A store assistant demonstrated how centrally controlled pricing improves accuracy and efficiency, and students completed an IT treasure hunt to record the technologies used throughout the store.
