As part of our celebration of British Science Week, themed “Curiosity”, students across the school took part in a range of exciting, hands‑on activities. A highlight of the week was a visit from Education Group, who brought immersive VR headsets into school to allow students to explore ocean life where they were transported beneath the waves to discover marine habitats and creatures. Students also took part in an exciting Egg Drop Challenge, where teamwork and creative thinking were put to the test! Using a selection of materials, each class designed and built a structure to protect an egg before it was dropped from a height. Creativity continued in Science lessons with the British Science Week ‘Curiosity’ Poster Competition. Pupils explored important questions about what makes children’s lives positive and what a positive childhood might look like in the future. It was wonderful to see every student so engaged with the Science Week activities.
