On Tuesday, 11th November, staff and students from Pendle Community High School and College and Pendle Vale College came together to honor the memory of our fallen heroes.
Just before 11:00 a.m., the poignant sound of The Last Post was played, followed by a solemn two-minute silence, as both schools reflected on the sacrifices made by those who served.
After the silence, wreaths were laid beneath the memorial in a moving joint ceremony. Students also planted commemorative crosses in the sensory garden, each dedicated to loved ones, creating a heartfelt display of remembrance. Throughout the day, staff and students proudly wore their poppies, symbolising respect and gratitude for those who gave their lives.
This shared act of remembrance highlighted the strong community spirit and commitment to honoring history within both schools.
