On Thursday 18th January, we were treated to a visit from Farmer John from the National Union of Farmers. We enjoyed hearing all about his life on his dairy farm in Whitewell, near Preston. He showed us photographs of how fields are ploughed, what happens when sheep are sheared and how cows are milked. We also took part in a mock auction to win a bag of chocolates (instead of a cow!) It was a fun and interesting assembly which the whole school enjoyed and it gave us some ideas for outdoor careers that we could pursue when we leave school.
