On Friday 22nd March, our college group working with the National Citizen Service (NCS) delivered an informative assembly to our KS4 students based on Epilepsy Awareness. Every year, on March 26th, people around the world come together to observe Epilepsy Awareness Day. This day holds special significance as it aims to raise awareness about epilepsy, a neurological disorder characterised by recurrent seizures.

The group created a PowerPoint presentation and each student had the opportunity to speak. They talked about what epilepsy is and how it can be managed. They also informed the students how they themselves can help their peers if they have epilepsy and what to do in the event of a seizure. The assembly was delivered with visual aids and videos and it kept everyone interested. They did a great job of talking about this very important topic – well done to all involved.
