On 29th February we ‘Showed our Stripes’ to raise awareness of Rare Disease Day. Rare Disease Day is observed every year on 28th February (or 29th in leap years like this year – the rarest day of the year). This years’ theme is ‘Show your Stripes’ because, just like a zebra’s stripes, every rare individual’s journey and story is unique.

We had striped tops, trousers, socks and even headwear! The whole school and college went stripy in our effort to raise awareness of this cause and to show support to those in our school community who are themselves living with a rare disease.
